Walaupun hujan renyai2 hari tu, dorang nie sporting enuff to come by kiter nyer humble ofiz & spent their time wif us.. The name Aegyptie nie, is actually a scientific name for a denggue mosquito - small & yet lethal. Itulah yang dorang describe bout themselves.. Kecik

They have also won the Yamaha Asian Beat at Taiwan. Wah! Congrats!! The members of Aegyptie choose to play lagu2 modern rock pasal sejak kecik lagik dorang dah minat ngan lagu2 rock - slow rock ke, fast rock ke asalkan rock lah.. So its kinda far off lah to play those sentimental songs.. Kalau you all masih tak tau jugak saper dorang nie, cuba ingat biler time hari raya yang lepas nie, lagu dorang 'Syahdu Lebaran' ader siar di radio tempatan kiter.. Aaah.. tu lah dorang.. Cool huh?

Well, walaupun dorang nie amat minat sangat ngan concept rock, they are actually a bunch of sweet guys! Sweet in a sense dat most of them like to
eat masakan mummy dorang.. heheheh.. Except for Malon, yang suka nasi ayam negeri sembilan @ lavender (kiter pung tak tau rasanya camner), Yan prefers mak nyer lemak cili padi, Harmi pulak mi soto, Fathul ngan dier nyer ayam masak merah & lastly Hardy also ngan mak nyer fried macaroni... Hmmm.. macam2 taste lah dorang nie..

Biler kiter kepo2 tanya dorang pasal gerlfren, semua cakap dorang nie single, ader pulak singtache - kiter pung tak paham aper kebenda tu but anyway, to all gerls fan out there, there's still chance!!! hehehehh...

Walaupun kiter dapat tengok their male bonding yang rapat, got one time ader yang merajuk jugak.. Nak tau pasal aper? Pasal marker dok!!! ahahahah.. Criternyer begini - One time they went for this Sungguh Hot Awards, kener sign guest book bistu marker takde ink.. So Harmi go & shake the marker ngan sungguh2 lah then the ink terpancut kener baju si Malon & Hardy.. Dah tompok2 baju dorang... They went toilet to quarrel & bersihkan lah baju for at least 1/2 hr... heheheh.. Tapi dorang sporting jugak pasal ngan new fashion baju yang tompok2 tu, they still went ahead & do their performance...

So we went to ask them kalau dorang tak main music, dorang buat aper.. Their answers are rather interesting... Malon nak jual cincin batu yang besar giler tuu for pakcik2. Dier cakap dier leh dapat supply batu tu kat gua2 terpencil kat Negeri Sembilan (Not sure why he's soo obsessed wif negeri sembilan), Yan lak nak jadik hairstylist yang terkenal, Hardy, mechanic kapal terbang, Fathul, a professional fashion designer & Harmi as a professional footballer... Wah, betol nyer citer2 eh..

But for now, as Aegyptie, their dream as a band is to memikat pendengar, tak kira umur ke bangsa, to juz appreaciate their music.. Kirakan to cater music for all generations lah... Also, they would also love to collaborate wif these few artiste for a song, kalau ader chance lah... They are M Daud
Kilau, Max Cavalera (Sepatura), Arman (GIGI), Melly Goeslow (Indon) & kalau leh turn back time - wif Arwah Tan Sri P Ramlee...

Bistu as per normal, kiter kasi satu soalan emas - a scenario when while performing, guitar strings terputus, what will you do? Surprisingly, they were all kinda cool jer biler dengar the question... an finally said dat they won't abruptly stop the music but continue jer till the end of the song & pretend dat its part of the show.. Selagi boleh jalan, jalan.. heheheh

From there, kiter go to a serious conversation bout our local music industry - from the local support to recording company to being successful in the local music scene.. One thing for sure is dat, walaupun Aegyptie has been around for 3 yrs, it's still susah to popularise the local music scene coz there's not much publicity given by media.. Guess dat kalau there's publicity, local music then will be well-recognised.. Kalau local supporters leh accept Linkin' Park nyer kinda music, they guessed why not them?? Eh, tol jugak eh..

They also mentioned dat kalau kurangkan foreign music to be played on air, to make local music the 1st priority, maybe dat way local artiste here leh dapat more support & more people would buy the local album.. Hmmm... a penny for your thought... Dorang nie, kalau dah last resort baru go M'sia to try their luck, obviously prefer live performance to TV & radio pasal they all love performing & at d same time love to interact wif the audience - baru ader ummph!

Kalau dorang have the power to change our music industry yang dead nie, firstly they would do lotsa publicity for the locals, paksa S'porean to hear more local music stuff & hope there's more recording labels locally... Kalau dorang leh open a recording company, they would want to gather all rockers
together & promote secara besar-besaran!!

Walaupun dunia seni tempatan kiter nie susah sikit, dorang akan tetap terus memberi sumbangan music dorang as long as they can stay together, pasal adernya PASSION!! That's the ONE thing dat encourage them to move one.. Chedelah.. So their next big dream would be performing kat Juara ke Anugerah Planet Music ke..

So their advice for new budding musicians - be humble, jangan give up, have the connection effort & minum air lebih2 so won't get sick.. heheheh.. ader jer lah dorang nie.. And for their fans kat AM - takkan hilang melayu didunia, keris taming sari tetap ada tapi tak tau dimana...
