Wah, wah, wah... hari tu on 27 Oct 2002 (Sun) was such a memorable day for most people. Nak tau aper pasal? Pasal hari tu ader Pertandingan Dikir Barat Piala Lim Boon Keng (Peringkat Akhir)! Saper yang tak pergie, rugi babe..Walaupun hari tu hujan lebat giler nyer, crew AnakMelayu tetap bersedia untuk cover the whole event.

So, there are 12 finalists & waduh, waduh, semuanyer hebat2 belaka. Their performance were great! Most of them took bout 1-3 weeks to prepare. Baju2 dorang pun unik. Each group has their own stail & identity. Cukup impressive. Macam2 colour & pattern - ader biru, putih, pink, yellow, gold, purple, dark blue.. Tapi yang AnakMelayu faveret, group Keris nyer attire, berlapis-lapis dol!

These are some of the geng-geng yang sempat kitaorang interview...:

Kumpulan yang first to perform is Mak Yong Kedek. They have been around in the dikir barat biz since 1995. Hari tu dorang pakai baju biru with white tanjak. Baju nie semer dorang buat sendiri. They took bout 1 week to brushup & get full attendance. Diorang kata, insya allah dat they will win this time.

The 2nd one is Tutuap. Dorang pulak pakai baju putih ngan tanjak pink. Dorang dah aound for bout 10 years, wah, lamer tu.. They have also won few awards before ie in 1993, 1994, 1995 & 1997.

Yulan was the 3rd group to perform. Dengan baju warna kuning & tanjak biru yang di tempah, dorang prepare for the comp tak sampai seminggu, dah ready. Confident seh.. Anyway they said that they have already did their best, so sekarang terpulanglah pada judges..

Now it's the girl power time - Aneka. It's actually a gabungan of 4 kumpulan ie. Adiha Sutera, Paraben, Jala Sutra & Sri Kandi Ratna. Dorang nie combine forces juz for the sake of this comp. They are there for the good exposure & to have fun, no matter what the results are. Wah.. so sporting seh.. These girls manis ngan baju biru yang di sewa.

Dengan berbaju & tanjak gold, Hikayat Putera Mas nie took 3 days to prepare for the finals, committed to 2 hrs each. Baju dorang pulak CC yang sponsor. This comp is actually to represent their 11th Anniversary so dats why they don't aim that much for results, cumer put up a good show for themselves & family. Tapi kalau dorang menang, rezeki dorang lah...

The next power puff girls are from Jentayu Sutera. They are proud that they manage to get to the finals. They have been around for 7 yrs. They have ever menang in PIala ABC & Piala Puteri. Baju dorang nie unik ngan baju putih & gold samping yang dorang buat sendiri. The best part is their sanggul - buat dari chopstick!! stylo seh..

Pandang was the next group to perform, which is a combination of Dendang & Panjy. They are happy bout being in the finals. Actually dorang dah prepare 2 weeks ago tapi semalam nyer baru full attendance.. Busy betul lah dorang nie..

Sekarang the winner perform - Ching Ching Ching. Dorang nyer baju simple jer. Dengan baju dark blue ala nusantara & ikat kepala merah, dorang nie actually tempah baju nie semua kat Geylang, maklum lah limited funding.. Even tho chip dorang cakap they perform untuk tinggalkan kesan for penonton, not for the judges, they turned out great & is the champion in this comp.. Congrats!!!

Baju gold ngan samping checked biru di pakai oleh Andika. Dorang nie dah around for 10-11 yrs. Pada dorang they have put in more effort to put up a good show for this comp. Pasal whatever it is, dorang takkan puas ngan persembahan dorang. They will put more & more effort in every performance they do. Dorang nie semua discipline belaka - 2 weeks, 1 week 3 times. Baju dorang buat sendiri semua..

The next group crew AnakMelayu nyer faveret - Keris. Bukan aper, pasal baju dorang beb! 3-4 lapis dol! They have been around for bout 2 yrs+. They got the confidence & hope to win this finals. They prepare themselves for as long as 2 & half weeks. Dorang nyer designer, Imran lah nyer idea yang pakai baju mix & match..

Selingan:
Tamjelah & Mus Art Percussions Club

Kumpulan Tamjelah pon sempat menunjukkan diorang nyer vocal dan musical skills sementara judges o-a-bey-a-som siaper menang. Suara diorang boleh tahan beb. Merdu sampai kita nampak ader some gerls senyum mentel tengok diorang (matair diorang takk..) kerhkerhkerh... Anyway, AnakMelayu.com ucapkan all the best kepada kumpulan Tamjelah dan hopefully satu you'll be as popular as Panca Sitara! Lagi satu nyer group yang perform pulak (judges naik syoik main o-aa-bey-aa-som!) ialah kumpulan Mus Art Percussion Club. The multi ethnic group played some really cool songs with all sorts of percusssions including kompang!
