Tak tahu lagu siaper?? Tak lain dan tak bukan.... *drum roll*..... JALIBOY!, lagu yang bertajuk "Mencari" ni boleh didengar di album dier yang baru jer di-releasekan pada bulan November lalu.. Album terbaru Jaliboy yang bertajuk "Me Lodi" nie pon telah di nominated in the Category Album Terbaik Singapura pat Anugerah Planet Muzik 2005!

Itu hari krew AM dapat green light pergi interview ngan Jaliboy - kiter nyer homegrown talent mann!.. Dah ready skali kiter nyer photgrapher lambat datang lak.. aper dah.. nasib baik Jaliboy orite.. Wah! He looks better in person sey.. dat kinda guy wif messy2 look gitu.. ;o) heheh.. *drool*

So what's with the name eh? According to da man, nama "Jaliboy" nie actually stage-name dier.. It all started wif his frens calling him Jali & his family members calling him Boy so add them together & u get Jaliboy lerr.. (also the name from one of P Ramlee's movies). But, Jaliboy pon ada nama lagik satu.. namanya ialah "Zack" hehehehh.. tak confuse gitu... hehehe, ok enuff with names, let's get to know the person behind the music...

He started in this music industry sejak dari umur 16 tahun! Tak kecoh tu?? .. nie mesti born talented nyerr.. At that age, dier wif his 1st band which is Krueger beb!! Alah, Jon Molina nyer band tuu.. Cool lah.. So wif his age sekarang yang dah menjangkau 30++ nie, dah about 14-15 yrs ah in this industry!! Nie lah kiter katakan semangat yang tak mudah di putuskan!! Chedeylah.. Kata Jaliboy, dengan adanya semangat yang kuat & strong beliefs to 'do it' attitude, itulah yang membuat dier pursue on in his music & eventually became the owner of Musicfactory (visit www.musicfactory.com.sg). Kata Jaliboy lagik, he's not worried about kegagalan coz kegagalan will always make you stronger! *sings* "Stronger.. like yesterday.." (eh, terlajak kat Britney Spears lak) heheheh... I tell you, this guy is really something you noe.. Kiter nie jarang sekali dapat jumpa a talented artiste this cool, humble & filled wif positive attitude in whatever he does! Waah.. we were really impressed!

Kiter pung tanya apasal dier tak gie negeri jiran macam orang2 lain.. Well, he'd been there & tak suka lah.. Style dorang soo different so he stayed here.. Walaupun di S'pore nie, he actually manage to sell songs (melody) in Taiwan! Dun pray pray ah... Siapa cakap album Melayu pat Singapore ni takleh make it? Jaliboy is a living example people!

Besides composing songs, playing instruments & singing, korang tau tak yang Jaliboy nie pernah act in the teater group "Act3"? Mula2 act, lepas tuu compose songs for plays, dan menjadi music director lak.. I guess kalau dah minat tuu, semua leh jadikan lagu eh.. Kalau dah ada musik tersemat di sanubari, confirm macam maner pon, mesti balik ke musik jugak.. heheh..

Sebuah Project untuk mangsa Tsunami...

Besides all this, Jaliboy ader satu lagik project dalam banyak2 project lain. He also recently composed a song to help the Tsunami disaster victims called "Pancarkan keihsanan" and now, the song dah pon di translatekan into 3 other language versions! The english version is called "Reaching Out" and the chinese and indian versions will be released in March. Lyrics in this song were written by K.d, SaniHusin, Daly (ahlifiqir) Jaliboy. Voices by Nana (Singapore idol) Man (tribe) Fyno (Penyanyi lagu thema E.C) J.Sham, Jaliboy, Dayat (Ahlifiqir) . Alamak, I tell you, lagu nie menusuk ke dalam jiwa ku.. cheh.. feeling sey.. Boleh rasa sedih tau.. Dengan perasaan kesian & teringatkan yang Jaliboy nyer immediate family members were there 1 week before the whole tragedy inspired him to compose those songs.. Kalau korang tak tau, lagu nie ader mixture of artiste - dier sampai sleep in the office to wait on 1 by 1 of them to come by & do recording, lepas tu mix all the tracks to finally complete it...

Selama 14-15 years nie, the sweetest memory yang Jaliboy tak leh lupakan is when he won a band competition for the Best Song! At that time the event was huge & dis started his career rolling... Bila kita tanya what his biggest dream was, his biggest dream is to be happy in life doing what he loves doing. Kata Jaliboy lagik, "asalkan tak menyusahkan orang lain sudah lah.." Pelik jugak eh, asal dier nie tak dream of being famous and rich ke.. and his reply was, "Rich doesnt mean you're happy.." Alamak.. real sey.. betol jugak Jaliboy cakap.. *ponders*

He also added that kalau the media plays a major role in promoting - ie, instead playing more foreign songs, try play homegrown songs in between.. maybe our local music can be more accepted & appreciated by vast communities here..
