Orite guyzz... the other day yang kat Youth Park nyer gig, crew AnakMelayu got some interviews from some of the people yang make the whole thing happen.

So after their performance, kiter dapat tangkap dis group of rappers melayu who called themselves Pakar Irama. Mereka terdiri oleh - Raja Syahrayah, Lygatt, Phir, Aqustiqa, Suara Sakti, P Irama & Ja'hat.

Fuhh.. namer stylo-milo.. Dengan termengah2 & berpeluh dorang sempat give their time for us to kepo2 wif them.. (so touching) Their performance that day was cool.. Dorang rap in malay, beat dorang pun catchy. So kiter tanya lah dorang y the name Pakar Irama?

Well, their answer was simple, as the meaning in english is the rhythamic master. They love world music that makes their music not the old skool of hip hop but a modernised one. In a sense that dorang nie combined all rhythm into one be it malay, english, hindi etc.. Padanlah that day, one of the song ader beat Diltu Pagal Hai... hehehhh.. (Ketua AM nyer favorite!) Dorang nie actually old frenz & one day dorang lepak kat kedai kopi kampong chai chee & the idea of forming a rap group together came up.

Their first debut performance was at Countdown 2003 @ Orchard. Abeh, aper meaning dorang nak sampaikan thru their songs? Dorang kata, different song ader different meaning. Mostly it's bout the society in life, pendek kata - bout everthing lah... Their aim is to hopefully release a demo by this year.. Next step is to kembang their wings to Malaysia & Indonesia... The big bang is to perform at America! Wah, tu cita2 yang bagus tu... Well anyway, kiter dari AnakMelayu wish them all the best in their journey!

After all the sibuk2 & the panas weather, crew AnakMelayu pun dapat time duduk ngan the organisers - Pheyroz & Sharifah from Soundschemers & Filzah from Sg HipHop. Dorang nie busy betol dat day... Nasib baik kiter dapat duduk kat air-con 4 awhile..

Sounschemers has been around for bout 2 years. Dorang nie besides performing, they conduct events too! Basically, hari tu almost all the crew dari Sounschemers. Also, besides doing events, Sg HipHop also do magazines & they have a website of their own. As for Filzah, her role is to call all hip hop performance & werk together ngan Pheyroz & Sharifah. Apasal eh dorang nie suka buat camni? They say it's to educate people out there that - hey! local music is alive tau! dun play2... Support lah!

Dorang nie basically there waiting for new talents & also to encourage youngsters the opportunity to show off their talents. Abistu, y is it slow for local music to grow big like foreign music? Dorang cakap, in terms of technology, foreign music are more advanced & there's limited or in fact no investors to invest in the local performance here. Kecian eh!

But today, there are so many local talents out there & their job is to push them forward coz compare to foreign music, in terms of talent - they are on par except for the money factor lah - local nyer d.i.y... Takpelah, slowly2... mesti success nyer one day.. Sampai biler dorang nak keep on doing dis? They say they keep on conducting more events & get support from BH/RIA dan jangan luper AnakMelayu!

So long as they can get sponsorship before any event, they will continue giving new talents the first step into the world of entertainment. (takde sponsor takde event lah) They are hoping for the best & hope that someone big to come along & invest in the performances.... Kiter dari AnakMelayu ucapkan good luck kat dorang!!! :o)
