Have you ever wondered what it would be like if every network cable in the world was suddenly disconnected? Would there be chaos? Would there be peace? Is there anything else to do besides watching TV and surfing the internet? Haaa.. that is this month's topic.
Nowsadays kan, anyone, anywhere boleh easily get information regarding anything under the sun. Today, you can easily find out about anything you want to know from the internet and TV. But then kan, have you ever felt that somtimes it's a little bit too much? Let me give you an example. You wake up in the morning and then you makan breakfast, lepas tu you pick up the newspaper and scan through whatever catches your eyes, and then lepas tu you pegi kerja/skolah. Balik jer you switch on the TV and absorbs whatever the 21" screen is showing. After dinner, you switch on the computer and sorts through dozens of junk emails hoping that you'll stumble into an email that you've been expecting from your potential employer. Bila dah penat you go to sleep. You do that for the next 5 days and hopefully you'll have some fun hanging out with friends or spending time with the family during the weekends.
Have you ever felt that there's more to life than just that? Hmmmm.. Acherly, there is more to life than just that. Pegi travelling la!! Tak kan asik nak terperok jer pat Singapore nie kan? Abih tu? Apsal? Takde duit? Start saving la!! Kalau you all dapat save satu bulan 50 ketol, 6 months later dah jadi $300, dah bole hooray-hooray pat negeri yang berdekatan. You all tau tak pat Malaysia kan, ader tempat-tempat yang gerek untuk you all visit. Obviously you all have heard of Tioman, Desaru, Penang, KL, dan tempat-tempat yang amat popular, but waittaminute, pernah tak you all think travelling the road less travelled? Hmmm.. patg maner tu?
Untuk mereka yang adventurous and daring, AnakMelayu.com ader a few suggestion yang you all bole try out. First up, GUNUNG LEDANG! Gunung yang tinggi giler pat Melaka nie memang ler popular dengan Adventure groups all over Asia because of it's tales and history, it's fauna and flora, dan juga air terjun yang sejuk nak mampos. Hehehe. Nak naik sampai atas pon consider "ok" for first-time trekkers. Tapi you all kene ler train up dulu sebelum you all pegi panjat tu gunung. Simple jer, for at least 1 month before your trip, spend 3 - 4 days each week naik turun tangga pat your HDB blok. So, biler pat Gunung Ledang nanti, lutut you tu dah "seassoned" dan tak akan tercabot. heheh, but seriously, we recommend that you go for a health check with a qualified doctor before your trip to make sure that you're fit enough to climb k?
Another gerek spot would be Gunung Kinabalu! One of the largest flowers in the world grows here. Its giant red blossom, the Rafflesia can grow to over 170 cm in diameter. Tapi dia peh bau rabak beb. Macam bangkai!!! Several bird varieties including the Mountain Bush Warbler, Kinabalu friendly Warbler, palefaced Bilbul and Mountain Blackeyes. More the 250 bird varieties have been recorded. Small mammals which inhabit the mountain include mountain squirrels, tree shrews and bats. Kalau nasib you all baik, bole terserempak ngan BatMan. The climb up Kinabalu is one reason why many visitors come. Despite its intimidating size, Kinabalu is one of the easiest mountains in the world to climb. No special skills or equipment are needed, and each year thousands of visitors undertake the expedition, which takes two to three days. Accommodation is available all along the climb, the highest lodging being the Sayat Hut at 12,500 feet. Those with high blood pressure or heart problems should not make the climb because of the high altitude involved. So jangan nak carik penyakit k!
Macam maner nak pegi sane? Haa.. The park is about ninety kilometers from Kota Kinabalu. The journey takes about two hours. Mini buses depart daily from Kota Kinabalu to Ranau, from 6.00am to 3.00pm and stop at Kinabalu Park along the way..
See? There is more to life than just sitting in front of your giant TV and surfing through the internet all day long. The best part ialah it doesn't cost that much!! Untuk mereka yang nak plan untuk pegi, send us your photos and stories and we'll show to everyone here how much fun you had and kasi mereka-mereka semua jeles! Heheheh.. |
